| Now while you travel into the Hunter Valley, your guide will give you information on the history, the wines and the wineries of the Hunter. We’ll explain how the Valley was settled, and why the area is such an important part of the Australian wine scene. We’ll talk about the varieties and explain the tasting procedures used on our trip so you have as much information at your fingertips as possible.
Our first tasting of the day is at the boutique Brokenwood winery. Brokenwood was established in 1970, and has evolved from a weekend venture for self-professed hobby winemakers into one Australian’s most reputable wine labels. Our Single Vineyard Selection typifies Brokenwood's focus on excellence and our passion for making great wine.
The multi-regional blend wines, such as the popular Cricket Pitch range, are sourced from premium regions throughout Australia to create a style that demonstrate balance, elegance and consistency.
While the size of the company has grown, the operation remains deliberately labour intensive, being the only way of assuring the individuality of the wines.

Lunch at the Hunter Resort is a selection of exotic flavours from all over Australia. This lunch has become something of an institution, and includes Australian antipasto, seafood, salads & meats. We also offer you four wines to try with the food so that you may experience a range of flavours and textures with the various wine styles provided. |
 | Now – our Chocolate Adventure! Here at Hunter Valley Chocolates we sample the huge range of hand made chocolates on offer – try the amazing chilli chocolate! All your favourites are here, and in addition an astonishing range of Australian flavours and centres which may titivate the most jaded tastebuds. You can buy singly, by the box, or by weight, and we provide you with a tasting plate of some of the flavours to get you started. |
| Cooper’s Winery is the site for our final tasting - a small, exclusive winery enjoying considerable success for its excellent wines. As an exclusive, we offer you your own private tasting of delicious Hunter Valley cheeses – not in a shop or a factory but here in the winery. Hand made cheese and hand made wine, in a great atmosphere with friendly family service - a fitting finale for your visit to the Hunter. |
